Is this software that I can use to monitor external audio sources inside Cubase? For example, if I have Cubase running can I then route system audio to a channel inside of Cubase for recording or monitoring?
Hi @RichSoul and welcome on this part of the Steinberg forum.
I am unsure to understand the question fully. Your aim is to have the default system output as an input bus for an audio channel audio in Cubase. If yes, you have several options to realize this but there are not technically depending on MixKey itself. This is how I would suggest to do the following on Windows
MixKey
- Go to Settings
- Go to Audio
- In one of the outputs configure the output with one of the virtual audio output delivered by MixKex, for instance “Audio Output devices > Stream”
- Make sure the relevant channels are routed to this output in MixKey
In Cubase
You can use either the Steinberg Built-In ASIO driver to be able to rewire the corresponding Stream Windows Input to an ASIO Input. Or similar solutions available on the market.
Hope it helps!
