I think this issue began recently:

Montage shows update/modification (*) asterisk in filename after merely examining the Inspector settings…without having changed anything.

I thought that I had mistakenly changed something in the Inspector area, but it’s happening every time.

Not a show-stopper, but super annoying.

This problem happens when opening the UI of some plugins. WaveLab tracks the plugin state change, and some plugin, unfortunately, change their internal state without a user change. WaveLab has to do this to be able to undo plugin changes. This is a dead zone here because the VST specification does not say anything about this.
