here my workflow:
created a montage with the un-mastered tracks lined up and set all clip-, track-, Output-FX to get my mastered versions. all Meta Data and CD Text info is entered.
then render that into a NEW montage where the resulting file is 1 single audio file and as expected all Meta Data and CD Text is transferred with it = 32bit hi res file = great!
now i want to created from that montage a NEW montage wile in the processing applying dithering and possibly sample rate conversion to 44k. but here i want each single track as a discrete file in the new montage including all the Meta Data and CD Text.
BUT in the resulting montage all CD Text has disappeared!
i cant get it to work…
When you render an audio file, the montage settings are not present in that rendered file. Hence you can’t create a new montage out of it, while recovering the CD Track data, unless…
unless you use these options:
Of course it is possible. Normally, you do that in one operation.
But for some reason, you ask to do it in two operations, by going through an intermediary montage.
Then in the second montage, created as I told you, you can then generate discrete CD tracks.
i understand.
there are reasons for my proceedings. but I can , and have found ways to work around it.
i think that i just hoped that there might be a way to do it in the way i wanted.
sometimes one can just overlook a small detail or a box ticked and then it can work. but not in this case.
thanks for taking the time and for your insight.
