Here’s a short piece I just finished (3:17 with title screens).

@Romanos , Thank you, my friend!
Konrad,
As I’ve said before, you have a real gift for evocative musical ‘descriptions.’ This is another one- the music is a perfect pairing with the images. It’s lovely.
On a practical note, I’m also always impressed with the balance you achieve. I’m using Noteperformer 5.0 with my libraries, but sometimes have to spend a good bit of time trying to achieve a good balance- especially in my larger works. What’s you secret?![]()
@Laurent_Colombo , Thanks! I really appreciate the nice comments! The encouragement means a lot to me. By the time I finish something, I can longer tell if it’s any good. ![]()
I use NotePerformer Playback Engine with Vienna Special Editions and BBC SO (more VSL than BBC) i don’t know where to look to find the NotePerformer version.
i wish I had a secret to share, but I really don’t. I’ll be happy to share the Dorico file, if you are interested.
Thanks again, and all the best. –K
Loved it!
@David26 , Thanks very much! Makes my day!
Update: NotePerformer 4.5.1.
konradh,
That is extremely generous of you, but not necessary. I found that I need to use Noteperformer 5.0 in order to get the most out of them with my system; less than 3Ghz processor speed and only 32g RAM. It works quite well for me and allows me to use all of the instruments in all of my libraries-even in large orchestral works. I was just curious. I admire not only your works, but have always been a bit jealous of the balance you achieve ![]()
Thanks again, and take care.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks, @EricC! I appreciate it!
Very lovely piece! Thank you for sharing, @konradh!
Impressive, excellent, very expressive
Hey, @Christian_R! Your opinion means a lot to me, so thank you very much!
I really appreciate it, @jodre! Thanks!
Beautiful theme and arrangement. And the ending—like something out of an old Hollywood blockbuster. Bravo! I’m overcome with nostalgia for the sensitivity…
Many thanks, @LESZEK! I really appreciate the encouragement.
(When you’re in the mood for a classic Hollywood theme, check out “Laura,” 1944. Beautiful music and one of my favorite movies.)
OK
although I also had in mind the 60s and 70s…
I’d love to watch “Laura”… and listen to it. Thanks
This is beautiful. I listened to it again with my eyes closed and it was even better. Music!
