Hi all, hope you’re all well!
Since I’ve used Mac with Cubase, starting 2011, I’ve always had this intermittent problem. The Mac pointer occasionally wont change to the correct editing tool.
I thought when I got my shiny new M4 pro Mac mini, that this would stop…but it just came back!
Rebooted Cubase and all fine again… I’m fed up with it though!
What the heck is causing it?!
Why, after all these years is it still returning? Is there something I can do to get rid of it once and for all?
Thanks all! BSB

This seems to be a well known issue in macOS, you can find several postings in the internet, describing this problem with various products.

and so on…
hey Juergen, yeah I know! Steinberg keep saying it’ll be fixed but never seems to be… annoying!
That is weird, they probably can’t do much if the issue is in macOS… but I’m not a Mac user, so I don’t know what this is…
Hey @Martin.Jirsak, do you have any info about this? Thanks!
Hi,
Yes, this is a known issue on Mac.
Myself, I can observe the issue even with other applications but Cubase. Therefore I think this is on macOS side.
