Movable Red Line when select/hold/drag Track: What does it do?

Hi All:

I’m new to Cubase Pro 10.

Can someone tell me what the red line does when you select, hold, and drag in a blank spot in around the track name?

I’ve searched google, forum, and the manual and can find nothing about it.

Red means you can’t drag and drop it there. Green means you can.

Thanks… it’s really confusing because it looks like an adjustment for volume or some other control. I

It would make sense for Steinberg to add this to the manual.

It is probably in there…If like me you saw it the first time you were dragging a track to a new destination it is pretty obvious when it changes from red to green.
