Move CC7 Lane

Hi. I’ve recorded a MIDI track with piano and an external expression pedal. Is there a way to move the volume CC7 data down to the volume lane beneath the MIDI track? Cubase Artist 15.

Hi,

MIDI > Functions > Extract MIDI Automation. If this is also in Cubase Artist (maybe this is Cubase Pro only).

Hi,

It doesn’t work, nothing happens. But I would prefer that, during recording, the data was written to the volume automation track instead of being mixed in with the MIDI notes. Can the Logical Editor be used for this?

Hi,

If you would like to write it to the automation track, go to the MIDI > CC Automation Setup…

Here in the Global Settings, you can set the Record Destination on conflict to Automation Track.

Or you can set individual Controllers.
