I can usually enter notes in one staff, add lyrics, and then select the notes and use opt+N or opt+M to move them to another staff. But now, all that happens is it moves the note to a different voice on the same staff, not move it to a different staff. (I’m working with a grand staff and do it this way so I can enter lyrics even though the melody of the lyrics is divided between staves/hands.)
Am I missing something? Is there another way to try to do this easily?
It might be because there has already been a back-and-forth of the notes using N or M without opt — I can reproduce this behavior. When that second voice on the same staff is created by pressing Opt+M, for example, try keeping the notes selected and press M.
