Moving tracks issue

  1. Moving tracks to the LEFT does not work in the mixer if you are exactly on the left dividing line (where the hand then appears) and you want to move to the left.
The same applies to the right: If you are exactly on the right dividing line where the hand appears, you cannot move the track to the right.

Yup, getting the same. Works fine using the labels which is how i’d naturally move them.

totally…i would usually grab the labels, too, but in reality when you are working fast you would grab the outer areas sometimes, of course, and it should work more fluid i wish

Why not always drag from the centre of the meter display or use the upper or lower channel name? But yeah, maybe that fraction of space on the UI either side of the meter should also be available to grab - although it would then be all to easy to select the adjacent channel instead or move the fader! In other words, this probably intended as a buffer zone. Personally, I’d never try to drag from the positions you indicate.

Knowing that you can use that meter area I would definitely reach for that as there’s less chance of getting caught up editing a label or hitting something you didn’t mean too - it’s a much larger area to grab.

So would be nice if they fix this, for sure. Good spot anyway! You’ve certainly got the bug finding hat on!

you are right…

but believe me, finding this issue was not something I was looking for in the first place
the issue is that the arrow turns into the hand which indicates that you can move the track

unfortunataley, i did not want to find any but

Good point! You may be right - in that position the hand perhaps shouldn’t appear since it’s in danger of giving false information to the user - but it’s a very fine line and IMO the implementation is pretty much OK.
