MPC Live won't record midi in CUBASE

Any MPC software users here on MAC?

Trying to record midi from MPC Live to Cubase using the MPC VST software (controller mode). It won’t record pad midi when I click the record button or overdub in the MPC Software (pushing the record button in Cubase to start it), but I hear the sound!

I can manually add the midi in the MPC software but I rather play the pads.

Is any sync configuration between the MPC Software and Cubase I am missing?

PS: I tried on Logic and everything works fine the midi note are recorded (in the MPC VST Software) when I press the pad.

Help!

Yeah… I’ve been trying to figure out how to use the MPC X or Key 61 like a true plugin like Kontakt or something like that.
Akai is no help either… no instructions anywhere.
You can make the track in Akai and import it in, but I want to just make it exclusively in Cubase without the extra work…
I can’t even use the sampler in MPC when I use it as a VST in Cubase…
Akai deactivates this kind of stuff…
It makes me wish I would have bought the Machine Plus instead…
