I hope this will solve my problems of dropouts every 40 seconds approximately. My cpu is a 265k with a Gigabyte Motherboard. Pcie card is a Startech one (Ti chipset).

set buffer size / block size to 1024, that also can help.

Thanks. What makes things complicated is that it is a networked computer and I’m not the administrator. So I have to ask for the password every time.

Hi, have 2 MR816 sitting for years in the closet, any chance it will work on win 11 laptop with thunderbolt 4 (usb-c connection ) ?

any recommendations for good thunderbolt to firewire if so ?

edit: i saw now in the post that Apple thunderbolt 3 to 2 adaptor is needed , and thunderbolt 2 to firewire adapter .(will work for win 11 laptop ? )

as the post is old, is there an alternative new options ? like 1 adapter goes from thunderbolt 4 (or3) to firewire ?
