Multi mesure rest

Hi folks,

I’m encountering a strange problem; on a separate instrument, multi-measure rests are not working at one point. The preferences are enabled as shown in the example, except for one specific place where the multi-measure rest is inactive.
I checked carefully to make sure there was no hidden text or other items, I selected those measures and deleted them in case I had forgotten something, but nothing worked, I still have those separate measures instead of having them in a multi-measure rest.
I don’t know what to do…

Some elements, particularly gradual dynamics, can have a continuation line.
Click on the cresc. marking - does it have a small orange circle just after it, or does it finish at letter T (or even later)? If it does have an extended continuation line, you can either delete the cresc. and re-enter it or select it and press shift+alt+left arrow a number of times to shorten it.
