Multi object bus

Hi!

Previously I’ve been able to turn a 7.1.4 group into a multi object bus,
but for some reason now it doesn’t work.

After creating a 7.1.4 group, that group does not appear as an option
under “source track” in the ADM Authoring window.

Apart from the 7.1.2 bed, the only options appearing in the list are
mono and stereo tracks and groups.

I have the 7.1.4 object group in my template, but can’t seem to reproduce
it. Anyone?

Weird, I still can make multichannel objects in Nuendo 15: make a 9.1.6 grouptrack and convert that into an object (‘create objects from selected track’).
So, don’t understand why it can’t work from your side…

Yes, it’s very weird. Using the “create objects from selected track”, doesn’t trigger any action att all, and as I said, the drop down list in the ADM Authoring window only shows stereo groups and fx channels as possible options. Thanks for the feedback anyway. At least now I know it’s supposed to work in version 15.

Well, had a second look and there must be something not working as it should:

  • making a new project and new multichannel groups/folders: no problem to turn it into a multichannel object in the ADM authoring
  • but loading a (for instance) 9.1.6 group from a template or an older project (made in Nuendo 14); can NOT turn it into a multichannel object.

So something is not compatible, and you have to make new folders/groups in N15 it seems.

Thanks for the update, that’s exactly my experience to.

I’ve experienced that in the past as well but not in 15. As a workaround try creating an object manually and then choose your object bed group in the drop-down menu.

Yes, that’s possible but only with newly made groups. Not with groups imported from older projects/templates.
