HI
I’m not a developer but I am trying to understand the current state of play in Cubase Pro/Nuendo V15 with regard to whether Cubendo can ( or cannot ) route outputs of a multi output audio insert plug in into say, Group channels for further processing.
Perhaps someone here might have some insight?
I have a VST 3 looping plug in ( very good btw ), which has one Stereo input and eight stereo outputs. There seems to be no way to induce Nuendo ( in my case ) to ‘see’ the additional outputs.
There is advice on line about a button in the Plug In GUI to activate outputs (nope) , or to insert the plug in in a MultiChannel Track and use the plug in routing editor to see its outputs (nope) , or to utilize sidechain outputs (nope ). Nothing works … and I have tried a LOT.
It isn’t just one plug in either. I have several which would benefit from accessing their multiple outputs.
Should Cubendo allow the multi outs of an effect plug in to be accessible? I suspect that if the plug-in is multi IO all the way through, and it is inserted on a multichannel track ( eg 5.1 surround in and out) it might work. However 1 in/8 out? Some comments I read simply say Cubendo cant do it.
I’m also told some other VST hosts have no trouble with this … but I cant verity that… yet. Which is odd… Steinberg invented VST right? I have thought their implementation would be best in class.
