Multiple channel selection with ⇧ and ⌘

multiple channel selection in the mixer (e.g. to change parameters in all channels simultaneously [with ⇧⌥])/ or multiple track selection in the project window. (here I refer to mac only) Scenario:
a. I select channel 3
b. Then I also select channel 5 with ⌘.
c. Then I use ⇧ to extend the selection to channel 7
d. Now, Channel 3, 5, 6 and 7 should be selected, but not channel 4. However, channel 4 is selected also instead.
(This type of selection works, for example, in the Mac Finder and in Apple Music, but not in NI Traktor)

Nobody seems to be interested in this topic, but it is a fundamental problem that affects not only Cubase, but also many other software - almost like the proverbial elephant in the room. By the way: this problem is largely solved in Dorico.

So basically you would like Cubase to expand the selection from the last manually selected channel (last in regards to time, not in regards to channel number)?

Currently Cubase will select any channel between the lowest selected channel number and the highest when holding Shift.

Addendum: On Windows the added selection works different to Mac. So Steinberg would ‘offend’ either Mac users or Windows users or both (as they do now).

Hi Johnny!
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I would like Cubase to expand the selection from the last manually selected channel (last in regards to time, not in regards to channel number)!
I don’t know how this works in Windows. I only know this type of selection works, for example, in the Mac Finder, in Apple Music and mostly in Dorico but not in NI Traktor.
