Multiple chord tracks possible?

Good afternoon,
I have Cubase Elements 15. In one project, it won’t let me create two chord tracks. Is it possible to do this? How would I do it?

I also have a question: when I transfer an audio file to the chord track, the chords aren’t exact. Is there any way to make them more accurate?

thank you so much

It’s only possible to have one chord track per project.

I don’t know about the other question, maybe someone else will reply…

you can make 2 or more versions of the chordtrack. click the little arrow for ‘duplicate version’ or ‘new version’. But there can only be one active chordprogression.

Michel

Track versions are exclusive to Cubase Artist and Pro

Thanks for the replies.

It depends very much on the audio source. The more complicated the source material is (with regards to sounds, rhythm etc), the worse the detection gets. So simple piano block chords or strummed guitar work quite well, but arpeggiated synth lines for example will be difficult. If you have audio tracks that don’t have the full chord information at a given time, e.g. only two notes of a triad chord, the result will be understandably bad. In that case, maybe it could work to mix down two or three audio tracks that in sum contain enough notes to one stereo track and then drag that on the chord track.
