I’m having issues with trying to record more then one track at a time. I’m running Cubase 5 and a Tascam FW1082 it has 4 xlr,1/4 inputs. I can’t figure out how to assign the appropriate input channels .
I need to be able to record three instruments at one time. And I’m only able to do one at a time .Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It´s still explained in the manuals. Which steps don´t work for you. What have you configured already…?
- Disable “Enable Record on Selected Track”
- Make sure you’re using the right driver (ASIO Tascam FW1082 or whatever it’s called, NO DirectX or Multimedia driver)
- Configure you’re inputs and outputs in VST Connections
- Select desired inputs for your tracks
That’s the one. The driver is ASIO FW1082. I have the same unit. No problems recording multi-inputs once you’re set up in VST connections and like Jarno said, make sure your “Enable Record On Selected Track” is disabled.
