Multitrack Recording Limit

Hi there. First time on the forums. I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this or if I should email Steinberg directly. I was wondering if there was a reason why there is a limit of 24 multitrack recording with Cubasis? I do my audio editing on a regular computer but would love to have the ability to hook my iPad Pro to a 32 channel soundboard for a school play and record a live recording this way. The modern day iPad Pros “I believe” are powerful (and fast) enough to be able to do this. Is that fair to say or is there something I am not seeing. For now, I am bringing my laptop and recording that way, but it would be nice to have the option of recording from my iPad Pro device.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi @Steven_Leavitt

Thanks for your message and a warm welcome to the Cubasis forum.

Please note that we’ve added a beta feature in a previous update, which allows you to use up to 64 physical inputs/outputs in Cubasis for iOS (of course, depending on the hardware device in use).

You can enable the beta feature under “Setup/Project/Physical Inputs/Outputs”.

Hope that helps!

Warm greetings,
Lars
