I am following a tutorial which requires me to turn music mode on & off. It is on of the top bars but I can’t find out to turn its display on
Hey there.
After selecting your audio clip in the main project window, click into it in the bottom Editor. Once you’ve changed focus to the event Editor, you’ll see the Inspector changes to show you Editor-specific context controls:
You’ll see the Musical Mode checkbox under AudioWarp.

What @Thor said and two additional ways to turn music mode on/off:
Infoline
Activate the info line in your Project Window by clicking the cogwheel on the top right
Now, click an empty space in your info line and check the box “Music Mode”. Now it looks like this (German version):
You can turn Music Mode on and off by clicking on it.
Pool
You can also turn Musical Mode on/off in your Pool window. It can be cumbersome to identify the correct file but there’s a key command in Cubase which will point you right to it in the pool
Edit/Key Commands/Audio/ Find Selected in Pool
If you assign a key command you’ll see this
