MusicXML-Import funktioniert nicht

Liebe Dorico-Nutzer,
vielleicht weiß jemand Rat: Bisher hat es immer funktioniert, MusicXML, z. B. von Musescore oder aus Finale exportiert (unkomprimiertes MusiXML), zu importieren. Seit neustem (Version 5.0.20.2024) geht das nicht mehr. Entweder wird die Datei gar nicht geöffnet, sie wird geöffne und kann nich t wiedergegeben werden oder, wenn die Noten Markiet und in eine neue Partie einer bestehenden Datei rüberkopiert wirt, zerscießt es die Wiedergabe aller Partien in der Datei, sodass Stimmen nur noch Abschnittsweise oder gar nicht mehr zu hören sind.
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, MusikXML ohne Wiedergabe-Informationen zu kopieren / einzufügen oder diese Informationen vor den Kopieren aus der Quelldatei raus zu löschen (So wie einfürgen ohne Formatierung bei Word).

Hallo Rainer,

ich habe deine XML in Dorico 5.0.2 importiert, die entsprechende Wiedergabevorlage angewandt (war bei mir Standardmäßig auf “Silence”) und die Datei spielt ohne Probleme.

EDIT: auch das importieren in ein vorhandenes Projekt ging ohne Probleme bei mir.

danke für deine Hilfbereitschaft.
Mit der Wiedergabe stehe ich irgendwie auf Kriegsfuß… Wenn ich die XML importiere, die erste Note anwähle und auf Play drücke, marschiert der Wiedergabe-Balken gar nicht los.
Wie wende ich den die entsprechende Wiedergabevorlage an?
Danke für deine weitere Hilfe im Voraus.

PS: Wenn ich mit der MAus über die Klaviatur im HALionSonic-Fenster fahre, wird Klavierklang wiedergegeben.

I have tried unsuccessfully to get Dorico 5 to import Musicxml files. It looks like everything goes fine, but I wind up with an empty score. I have followed the directions on the recommended YouTube videos, but no change. Sibelius picks up the same Musicxml files perfectly.

Any ideas would be helpful.

This is a typical XML file I’m trying to inport:

OK. I uploaded two files: a sample XML file (I get the same result with all of my XML files) and the resulting empty Dorico score.

I downloaded the XML file and imported it in Dorico 5, with the standard MusicXML settings. No change to the default at all.

Here is the result

It looks really good out of the box, without knowing what the original score looked like. This is the first page of two.

I just looked at your Dorico file as well and I think I know what happened.

I believe you created a new empty project for Piano and then imported the XML via "Datei → Importieren → MusicXML" into this fresh empty project.

This leads to the empty first page and two pages appended. It also causes the title to be “Untitled Project 1” and not the name of the real score.

What you should do instead is to import the XML file directly from the Dorico Hub and NOT create an empty project first. This takes all the information from the XML file and creates the project directly starting on page 1.

I tried an experiment, creating a Dorico score from scratch, exporting it as MusicXML and importing the MusicXML file from the Dorico hub. Around a third of the hairpins are out of place, and the last page (8 bars) is a shambles. Interestingly, MuseScore made a significantly better job of importing the selfsame MusicXML; there was less to correct and the last 8 bars were much more accurately formed.
