Mute adds artifacts at end of track

Hello. Can’t wait for update! When I mute a section at the end of a track it leaves behind an “invisible” audio artifact. Can’t always delate it. Any help is appreciated.

Odd. I close the program and when I reopen, the artifacts are gone. ??
