I hope Nuendo 14 will have an additional mute function on the export queue, something like the picture I have attached. Normally the clients want various version besides the format, with the mute option we can have various version and formats to export using the Export queue tab in one go.
Thank you,
Raj.
As the export window doesn’t “steal” the command focus from the main project, you can do this in the actual mixer and/or edit window without closing the export dialogue.
Hi Dietz, yes you are right, this is what i have been doing for so many years.
Since Steinberg introduced the queue export, it was a bliss when the client wants to have few formats for the online platform and etc, i normally render 16/48, 16/441, 24/48 and mp3 format. But the client also request for full mix, minus the lead vocals, minus all vocals and only vocals, sometimes they also request for certain instruments to be muted for performace. If there’s a mute option in the export menu, i can set the versions and format in the export queue and just click export and walk away. All these versions with the multiple formats would be ready in one click and to be sent to the client. Now with this queue export, without the mute option in the export menu, i have to sit there and render all these versions one by one, nevertheless its still better cuz i dont have to render each version 4 times for the wavs and mp3. I really hope steinberg will implement this mute option to ease our workflow.
Understood. I see the use-case, and you should tag your first post as a ‘feature request’ to at least have a small chance of being recognised.
