MXL import and String divisi

I imported a large orchestral choral piece via MXL from Sibelius. The upper string parts all have divisi.
The sections are in separate parts:
Violin 1, I, II
Violin 2, III, IV
Viola, V, VI
Violoncello, VII
Contrabass

How do I combine them back into their parts?

Dorico has issues with the MXL imput. But I imported the MXL back into Sibelius and it was a huge mess.

I suspect that the best approach would be to create new section players for each of the instruments in the string section, create the appropriate divisi changes in each instrument, and then copy and paste the music from each of the imported staves into the appropriate divisi staves, then delete the old parts.
