After looking into the pdf document “device tuning” posted by CKB, it became clear to me again that the FaderPort is the best replacement for the CC121.
Being able to operate the AI function optimally - also as a jog wheel - was one of the central strengths of the CC121 and now only the FaderPort can do this so well. There are other controllers with a jog wheel, but only the FaderPort has it in the right place, ABOVE the transport section, which also has the best design you can find, I think.
