Hi,
You can enable them in the Setup Window Layout.
Hi Martin,
Erm no i’m sorry. I am normally pretty good doing the settings thing, but i cannot find it, Sorry.
Where is it PLEASE
Hi Martin
Sorry, but not a solution!
Setup Window Layout is same outcome as right clicking in my view.
Right Click
Select Hardware, Routing ect
The Otherway of dong the same thing
Save Then Close, Open, and it’s Gone
I WILL ALSO POINT OUT THAT WHEN I DO GO IN AND RE-DO THE WINDOW LAYOUT, THEY ARE THEIR (H/WARE, ROUTING ect)
COULD THIS BE A FEATURE TO SAVE ON CPU? IF SO THEN FINE, BUT CLARIFICATION WOULD BE NICE
Please advise
John
Hi,
I have seen a similar issue… The other one was like this: adding some items to the MixConsole, made other item diapering. Could it be the same?
Hi Martin,
Adding what items to mixconsole (RACKS?)
It does not matter what i add or not in the racks, i have done loads of variations with same outcome.
Would the not be a “Load preset” normally in the window layout for different racks in workflow scenarios i.e audio sound design?
Hi,
So if I understand you correctly, the items are available in the “Rack”, if you are adding them. Then you close the project, re-open it and the items are not available anymore. Is it like this?
e,i In a project, I load a Frequency2 into INSERTS, save project and close.
Then i open up the same project later and racks have disappeared, but when i reload/tick/check racks from window layout the INSERT and the Frequency2 are STILL in it!
Hi,
So you can see it for example in the Project’s Channel, right?
So really just the MixConsole window layout is not persistent, right?
Do you use Workspaces by any chance?
your 1st Question: Yes I can see inserts in the new extreme left Zone when not visible in MixConsole.
your 2nd question: Correct.
Your 3rd Question: No i dont, but will look at that in the future
SIDE NOTE: Had CB10.5p for 3+yr, then literaly had CB12p for a few days then updated to CB13p, so trying to figure out a few things myself, but some are baffling.
Cheers Martin

Hi,
Have you already tried to rename/remove Cubase 12 and Cubase 13 preferences folders, please?
Hi
Not sure what you mean, How do i do that, and whats the purpose?
Hi,
By renaming/removing the preferences folders, Cubase will start in the factory settings. So if there was the settings corupted, this would fix it.
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X_64
Where the X is the Cubase version. So in your Cubase 11_64, Cubase 12_64 and Cubase 13_64.
are you saying remove Cubase 12_64 and Cubase 13_64 Folders, or are you saying remove something from within them folders?
There is no Folders called “preference folders” in %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X_64!
What exactly am i removing in WINDOWS not MAC
Hi,
I mean to remove the Cubase 12/13_64 folders.
The Mac and Windows means, where you can find the given folders based on the system you are using.
Hi,
That seems to have Resolved it.
Cheers Martin
