I already wasted a day blaming myself. Just had a fresh install of Windows 11, didn’t backup all my customization in Nuendo, DADMan, etc. So, that set me back, but I got everything back in order.
I need to knockout this project in Atmos. First, I was having trouble getting the ADM Authoring window to make connections when using External Dolby Atmos Renderer. The setup assistant is only available when using the native renderer now. Luckily, I remembered how to manually set up a project and “auto-connect objects” eventually started working, after configuring, deleting all outputs, and configuring again 2 or 3 times.
Now, it SHOULD be working. I’ve created a couple test tracks. They’re connected in the ADM Authoring window. When I press play, the clock rolls on the RMU and stops when I press stop. When it plays the dots on the RMU blink along with the audio, as they should. However, nothing shows on the RMU’s meters nor does anything show in the 3D “room” display.
That sound like an issue with the renderer, but it’s not. I’ve found where the communication breaks and its in Nuendo’s VST Multipanner. The meters are moving on the input side of the multipanner, but there is nothing on the output side.
I’ve dealt with screwy issues in Nuendo before where one track won’t do something it should be doing. Then, I create another identical track and move the audio to that track and everything works fine. So, I made more tracks, connected them, and tried again. None of the tracks are making it through the multipanner. Audio goes in and nothing comes out the other side.
I’ve tried leaving the panner at the starting point, moving it around, mono, and stereo tracks as well.
I’m not getting any audio through the multipanner. Audio goes in, but it never comes out.
Object mode, for the record.
