N13: video flickering and not following playhead

hey!

any idea why this is happening?

I checked on the Steinberg page to make sure the video was compatible and it should be (Attached the specifics down here)

any tip would be super appreciated. As of now I’m actually stuck and I do mockup videos a lot when working on games.

I use ER Media ToolKit from Audiospot and always encode my videos as DNxHD or ProRes. h264 is not the best codec for a flawless workflow in Nuendo.

Agreed. I used to use XMedia Recode (Windows PC), but once I found the audio codec offset benefits of AudioSpot, I never went back to that other tool.

I leave mine at the default like you have here. ProRes 422 LT @ Progressive quality always works perfectly for me at 1080p, with the MOV container. Frame-accurate and buttery-smooth in Nuendo. If your source video is 4K, you will likely need to tick the ‘Force to 1080p’ box (though I hear 4K support is coming with Nuendo 14; I’m still on 12).

Sure thing, let us know if it somehow it doesn’t work for you? There may be additional video engine improvements / codec support coming soon in Nuendo 14 (as I believe there was for Cubase 14), but I’ve never had a problem with creating work print videos using this tool.
