N14 Sample Rate Conversion

I have a really large live project to mix. Normally I convert sample rates outside of Nuendo, but in this case I’ve used AATranslator to convert the ProTools Session to Nuendo.

The project has come with markers, which is great, and I don’t want to have to manually drag 240+ tracks into the project.

So, the simple solution is just to convert it from 96k to 48k within Nuendo14. Is the conversion really good? It used to pretty bad back in the early days.

Thanks in advance!

Nuendo’s SRC is as good as it gets, nowadays.

Sidenote: I mixed chart-topping albums using the crunchy, legacy NUv5 conversion back then, since the trusty old Neve Capricorn console couldn’t handle 96kHz. No-one ever complained.

Also, since the math is very simple, dividing by 2, you will be fine. Go to session settings select 48K, say yes to convert, when the first splash screen comes up after conversion, select No.
