In this passage, by using a ‘?’ I advise the guitarist to disregard the previous Roman numerals until the next one appears, and then resume using the Roman numerals. (It is a way to avoid unnecessary clutter and use one’s intuition.)
I use a question mark here because I don’t know a better notation. If there is a better notation, what might it be, and how do I locate a character for it?
