Need to lose the New Playing Techniques

All my troubles would vanish if I could erase every “New Playing Technique.” I don’t seem to be able to erase them. Is it possible? Beneath “New Playing Technique (8)” you see “C4 C5…etc”. These continue above and below where I have been able to find a place where they don’t get in the way. I have C1 through C12 now. I could use a few more (C13 to C14 would be nice but I haven’t had to use them yet.) I don’t care where each C.. is placed as long as I have it. The New Playing Techniques are in the way, but I’m putting up with that if I have to.

Open Library > Playing Techniques, and delete the ones you don’t want.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wish it worked. In fact none of the items labeled “New Playing Technique…) appeared on Library>Playing Techniques when I tried it.

I wonder if it has something to with Guitar per se and nothing else. I can live with it the way it is and put up with the long list of “Playing Techniques”. The way I have it now has worked ok, just not especially convenient. Oh well. Could be worse. (Guitar is what I play, which is why I landed myself where it is now.)

Did you try the different categories in the dialog? If you still don’t see them, can you share the project file here?

Probably a stupid question, but are you looking under the category you created them in? Also, make sure the “search” box is empty.

Thanks for your time, guys. It seems like a can of worms, and it works sort of ok anyway, so I’ll move on and go back to the music. I probably did it totally wrong, but I don’t care as long as it works for me.

They are deleted from the Playing Library… but not in the right panel. I also deleted all the new playing techniques I added from the scores, so that’s not the issue.

Also saved and closed the file then rebooted the computer. Still there.

Any more suggestions? I’m not going to actually use “New Playing Technique” in any of my scores, and I don’t need 3 “dolce” options. That was my experimental new technique learning how to add them & fiddling with options such as above, below, italics, bold.

Never mind. They hadn’t actually been deleted; I’d “deleted” the information in the text box and didn’t click on the trash can. All good now!
