Needed - Keyboard shortcut (or macro) to open/close Control Room's inserts

Similar to the option under Key Commands: Mixer -> Insert XX: Open/Close Editor for Selected Track/Channel

Requesting an option to configure shortcuts to open the global inserts for the Control Room. Quite annoying having to open up the Control Room panel, switch to the inserts page and open them from there when they’re needed.

Bumping - Control Room is one of the main reasons I recently bought Cubase Pro 14, and I really want this to happen!

The OP did not ask IF this is possible. It is a feature request (see tag).

This is posible already. Im using a Korg Nanopad 2 for those kind of things

Yes, using the generic MIDI controller. I could upload a screenshot later. In my case, it’s in Spanish, but I can do something in English.

I’ve mapped the screenshots to a Nano pad, but you can remap them to any MIDI controller. I’ll try sorting the screenshots by number for a better understanding. I hope this helps.

Thank you, that shows that it is basicely possible. Will check if it can be done in the midi remote as my x-touch-mini lives there. Would expect that Steinberg has implemented the generic remote functionality in the new midi remote function accordingly.

I don’t use midi controllers and only use a Keyboard so unfortunately that solution does not help me. Still interested in keyboard shortcuts for this topic, feature request remains~

Note that by using external utilities, you can translate keyboard shortcuts to MIDI messages. Every now and then, getting into this, is unavoidable, especially if a feature is badly needed.
The solution of @Pablin_Drummer2 is straight forward, I’d highly recommend it, and then I have one using the “new” MIDI Remote here, for those already having a scripted remote and wanting to integrate this functionality in it: Opening/Closing the insert slots of Control Room's main channel using MIDI Remote
