Neon and Karlette are here... again!

Steinberg are doing it again!

I love this old stuff… and I use it.

Neon — Polyphonic synth featuring two oscillators, ADSR envelopes, an LFO and a resonant filter

Karlette — Vintage tape delay with four independent delay heads and tempo sync

Both instruments are available in VST 2.4 plug-in format (32- and 64-bit, PC and Mac OS X) and can be downloaded free of charge from the Steinberg website.

Karlette could be fun, we’ll see …

Anybody using these yet? Bugs? CPU load?

Hi MMoorman.

I am using Neon and Karlette and there are no problems. And the CPU load is almost non-exixting. The VST Performance meters show nothing.

You can see my system configuration below.

Have fun.

Sweet! Thanks! My system and current group of projects is a little stressed and touchy. Just wanted to make sure.
Peace

The LFO does not seem to oscillate anything.
What’s the idea?

Hi niles.

Try the modulation wheel on your keyboard…

Cheers for pointing that out.
I feel like an idiot searching the generic editor for a connection

Hi there,
If anyone could help me I’d be hugely grateful.
I just tried installing the Karlette rerelease and it’s not showing up in my Logic Pro 8.
I can see the .vst file in the plugin folder but I don’t see a .component file anywhere?
What am I doing wrong?
Huge thanks…D

Sorry Ruby,

These are legacy VST1 plugins that don’t have AU component versions.
But with Logic, you have alternatives probably in one of your early synths, and a multi tap delay.
