Neumes

Does anyone know of a software in which it is (relatively) easy to create (or re-create) 11th century music notation that uses neumes? In Dorico it seems very difficult to create a 4-line staff, let alone the symbols that go on it. I actually have managed the staff, finally. I have not managed the neumes.

It’s a while since I’ve used it.

Yes, Cantorum is the best way in Dorico at present. There are other online generators and dedicated software for plainchant.

Outside Dorico, Gregorio project. I found this guide useful to start with as it shows how input (typing in what you want to see) works in Gregorio.

Wow, this is amazing. I had no idea anything like this existed. Thanks!

I will have to do some experimenting. Thanks for the pointer. (And for creating the font to begin with!)
