Neural DSP Plugin Crashes Cubase Instantly

Hi!

Long-time Cubase user here with a new problem I’ve encountered after upgrading my PC and performing a fresh installation.

Neural DSP Parallax X VST3 crashes Cubase immediately after trying to load it every time. Other Neural DSP plugins are fine.

I have tested the plugin on GigPerformer and it works fine.

I thought it might be related to the .30 update, but it happens on .20 as well. I have tried to troubleshoot the issue, but I am stumped. If anyone has any idea of what I can do to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi,

Attach the *.dmp/ips file, please.

Unusually, there appear to be no crash reports being generated in my Documents or AppData locations. I am no stranger to Cubase crashing on me and am familiar with the crash dump files generated, however, on this clean install, the CrashDumps folder has not even been created yet.

I was only able to pinpoint the problematic plugin by using Windows Event Viewer. The error that generates is:

Faulting application name: Cubase14.exe, version: 14.0.30.324, time stamp: 0x682f1bb1
Faulting module name: Parallax X.vst3, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x667d6216

Well I figured it out.

Event Viewer showed Windows secure boot was not working even though everything appeared to be normal. I got that sorted in the BIOS and now that fixed the one plugin crashing.

Windows is weird.
