New build, SL11.0.70 sees only SpectraLayers Bridge, no audio

I’m testing a new Windows 11 build, freshly installed, RME Digiface USB and SL11.0.70. In Edit | Preferences | Device I can see only this, no other audio device in the drop-down list:

I’ve tried Rescan, Reset, Reset All, as well as re-installing SL11.0.70 and deleting the preferences folder.

The Digiface USB is working with other programs, and works on other computers.

Has anyone experienced this on SL (standalone) before?

Select ASIO as Type then you should be able to rescan and find the Digiface.

The Type drop-down contains only one entry (“SpectraLayers Bridge”), so it is not possible to select ASIO.

I would have expected SL11.0.70 to see WASAPI, as it doesn’t require ASIO in order to work. By comparison, on my Windows 10 PC, the same version of SL11.0.70 sees the following 3 options for Type:

On the Windows 11 PC, other standalone applications such as Groove Agent 5 and HALion Sonic 7 all see all available ASIO options, including the Digiface USB ASIO, and the hardware is working fine.

The problem is that SL11.0.70 does not list either WASAPI or ASIO as a Type options in Preferences | Device on a freshly-installed Windows 11 PC.

Did you install the latest RME drivers and flash update?

Yes, everything is freshly installed, with the latest updates. ASIO is working fine. SL11.0.70 is not allowing it to be selected as “Type”.

Do a reboot. If that doesn’t help, unistall SpectraLayers completely and reinstall.

I’ve already done all of that, and uninstalled/reinstalled as stated in the original post. Perhaps @Robin_Lobel can help.

Very strange. It means SpectraLayers wasn’t able to load (in the SpectraLayers folder) Plugins\Devices\rtaudio.dll for some unknown reason…

I have now also installed SpectraLayers 10, it has the same issue. I will continue to investigate, thanks for the hint!
