New content on the Cubase YouTube channel?

Hi everyone, I’ve been a Cubase fan since version 9 and have followed the YouTube channel over the years, which has always offered fantastic ideas for fostering creativity and improving the technical skills of all users. I wanted to share an idea with you, to see if it’s worthwhile: integrate the channel with more creative content, such as inviting musicians to demonstrate how they build their guitar, bass, and drum sounds, or how they structure a song and apply it to Cubase. Personally, I’d love to see Kevin Shields using an ampsim to build his guitar sound, or hear Vegyn talk about how he builds a song from scratch. These are just two examples, but obviously the list is endless… also invite musicians who don’t have direct experience with DAWs but can offer valuable creative input. You could also consider activating the “subscribers only” option. Buona giornata :slightly_smiling_face:

The money making part of YouTube becomes complicated when you pile many creators into the same channel.

I simply subscribe to many channels and also use Google search when I want to find the kind of content you’re describing.

I would suspect that many artists don’t want to share their production tricks and secrets for obvious reason.
But there have been few Steinberg user pros in the past doing this for the channel.

At the end of the day, it’s a question of money. High quality content is expensive either way. It’s not just about knowledgeable people willing to share, you also need a professional production team to shoot, edit, cut etc. Look at Mix With The Masters - their playlist includes almost every successful mixing engineer. There is no such thing as “10 tricks to make your song sound like a professional mix”. It’s the sum of many small moves that add up and knowing when you are on to something. And experience, taste and whatnot. So, they are not at risk of giving super secret tips away. And many engineers truly enjoy passing on their knowledge.

Back to Steinberg and @Massimo_Campobello’s suggestion:
One Channel
I think it would be a good idea to do more promotion by inviting established artists to showcase their work using Cubase. I think that would be money well spent. However, not an easy task if you want it to be authentic, informative and critical when you are on Steinberg’s payroll. A thin line.

Individual Channels
Like @Nico5 said - that’s what you need to earn money on YouTube. And it’s a ton of work to provide a never-ending flow of content. People like Chris Selim are pure gold for Steinberg - I hope they know.
