Hi there just bought brand new machine (Mac Mini) and want to move my CUbase 10.5 Artist setup to the new machine.
What is the best way to go about this given all the plugins I have installed over the years etc?
Many thanks

Hi,
Export the Profile from the old system and import it to the new one.
Or move the Preferences folder and rename it.
Thanks for coming back to me. So just to be clear I re-install Cubase Artist 10.5 etc on new machine and then import the profile?
Hi,
No, doing this, you would get the default settings.
You Export the Profile from your Cubase at the old system with Cubase 10.5. Then you install Cubase 12 to the new system and Import the Profile.
Thanks Martin - sounds like a plan!
Sorry Martin I’ve just been crawling all over Cubase Artist (including the manual) and can’t find Profile Manager - is this only available in Cubase Pro? If this is the case do you have any other suggestions as to how to migrate from one installation to the other - thanks!
Hi,
Oh, you are right, sorry, I didn’t realise this. Profile is Cubase Pro only.
Then the only way is to transfer the Preferences folder and rename it. Some settings is not part of the Preferences folder, but most of the settings is.
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X_64
Ok I’ll give that a go thanks for coming back to me
