New player not shown unless in galley mode

I have an old project that I opened and when I try adding a new player it doesn’t show on the score unless I am on galley mode. Not sure what the issue is as the player is checked in all the usual culprits. It doesn’t happen with new projects or all other old projects.

You have Hide Empty Staves (All) selected in your Layout options.
Can you see the staff when you add notes in Galley mode and switch back to Page mode?
If so, then Dorico is behaving normally.
