New Release: MixKey 0.9.4

Hi @everyone,

today we would like to announce that we have released MixKey 0.9.4, which is now available on the website.

With this update come a couple of improvements:

  • Auto Update (MixKey automatically downloads and installs updates)

  • ASIOinternal (New page for audio system settings with “Internal” mode)

  • WDM Exclusivity (Apps used as sources are no longer played back twice via the system output)

  • Auto Gain improved (The Auto Gain control (sensitivity) has been improved)

Have fun using and exploring MixKey and let us know what you think about it!

I have installed the latest version and Mixkey still doesn’t recognise Cubase 15 Pro as an audio application … What am I doing wrong? Mixkey is set to the same ASIO driver that Cubase 15 Pro uses.

Hi,

How is the Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System > ASIO Driver set in Cubase on your side, please? Make sure there is an ASIO driver selected (avoid the No Driver).

In MixKey, set the Settings > Audio > Audio System to Internal.

It’s all set up the way you describe it (by the way: It would make no sense to set the Cubase driver to no driver … the purpose of using mixkey in combination with Cubase is that I want to be able to stream Cubase’s audio output)

See the attached screenshots … Cubase is not available under audio applications in Mixkey.

Hi @joerch ,

Thank you very much for the screenshots!

The settings seem to be correct now. Have you tried to restart MixKey, please?

Could you send us your appblocklist.json file, please?

  • Mac: MixKey > Show Package Contents > Contents > Components > Resources.
  • Win: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\MixKey\Resources\

Sure - here you go:

I’ve been out of the loop a little while, I can’t seem to see a download available for this, could you help me find it? The beta downloads is blank for me.

Its good, I have got it working perfectly, it can record from Nuendo/Cubase and from Youtube at the same time straight into OBS screen capture.

click the download button

Hi @joerch ,

Thank you for the file. This looks OK.

But it looks, we are on something.

Hi @joerch ,

Instead of the ASIO Fireface USB, select the ‘Steinberg built-in ASIO driver’ in Cubase. Wait for 1 second, than Cubase should appear in MixKey.

Or, you can use the ASIO Input source, instead of Cubase source in MixKey.
