It looks like you’ve got a lot of extensions. Could one of them be interfering?

Thanks; I don’t think that’s it. Never happened before. Tried with FireFox and, although I don’t get that or any error, nothing happens: there is no way actually to authorise.
I downloaded and re-installed 1.36.4 from this page.
That worked. But my info that there is a later version (1.37) must be erroneous?
Unless that is imminent. If so, maybe my experience is useful if anyone else has the same apparent bug?
If I remember correctly, from time to time when you launch it, it will update itself, then continue on to open.

Yes, that’s been my experience - for years. This time it requested authentication, but failed
