I want to eliminate the e-licenser from my system, however I still have some ACTIVE , older unfinished projects I’m working on running in Cubase 11, and have back resources of midi project files going back to Cubase 7.5 saved on my Project Drive…
Will Cubase 11 still run if I delete the elicenser and move to the new Steinberg Licenser or will I have to keep the e-licenser active to run Cub 11 and access these older "Midi project files?
Thanks guys!

In order to run any version of Cubase before C12 you will need the eLicense.
However the Projects themselves don’t care much about what version is opening it. All of your older Projects should open fine in the newer versions of Cubase on the Steinberg Licensing.
The most common issue is older plugins that don’t work. If you don’t want to replace them with ones that do work, the other option is to open the Project in an older version and render the plugin to an Audio Track and use that going forward.
You might try loading those older Projects into Cubase 14 and see what if anything causes problems.
