New theatre soundtrack

My latest theatre soundtrack will be released on streaming platforms August 9th, but it’s already on Bandcamp. It’s for a Norwegian theatre production called “DRAGEN”, based on a very dark children’s book by author Gro Dahle. It was all done on Nuendo 12. Have a listen if you like :performing_arts: :notes:

Stunning! This mysterious atmosphere makes us want to read the book in order to find out what could be so dark about this story.

Well done!

Thank you both!

I’m not sure if the book has been translated to English. The book, and the play, explores the theme of psychological violence, told through the story of a little girl named Lilli and her mother, whom Lilli only refers to as “The Dragon”, and which is also played on stage as a dragon, during the entire performance (as in the cover art).

Reading the book or watching the play as a grownup (especially if you have kids) is a real gut-punch. Because, sadly, some children do live under conditions like these. Some kids who watch the play see an exciting and dramatic story about a horrible dragon that needs to be tamed, while others who unfortunately retcognize the patterns a bit more, see themselves and their own situation at home – and as a result, end up seeking help.

Needless to say, it’s personally a very important project to me, for these reasons among others. Art can indeed save lives.
