New video engine does not support certain codecs

I noticed that Cubase 9.03 does not support QuickTime and other MP4 videos that 8.5 supports.
This is problematic for me when I am making or editing videos or I want to use a video from my iphone or iPad.
This is a step backwards.
Any improvements in the new video engine or useless if it’s not going to recognize more video forms instead of less.
This needs to be fixed.

I loaded the same sequence in 8.5 and all video formats were recognized.
I loaded the same sequence in 9.03 and two out of three videos were not recognized.
I do not think this was a problem with the earlier version of cubase 9

What OS are you using ?

You’re going to have to convert the videos, there are free converters out there.
