Newbie, no sound activity

Cubase 6 LE, windows 7, showing ZoomR8 in VST in and out, and audio system and Mackie controller. zoom works as interface, but I have no sound generated on the files. Can’t hear the instrument sample that came with either. I read about being sure monitoring is not enabled, but I don’t know where to find this information. There is no activity in the window beside the track indicator or at the bottom right hand corner beside the midi status activity.

Would love some help, as it’s been many hours spent already. Have been in contact with Steinberg for help, but they aren’t sure what to do.

Any ideas?

can you post some screenshots of your VST connections output tab and track routing?

Yeah. Hit us with as much info as possible. i.e., where in your chain are you getting input sound? Can you hear ANY inputs? screenshots of everything… etc

When you have the track selected/highlighted, to the left side window do you have an In & Out selected there as well?
