Hello,
I don’t know if I’m in the right place.
I purchased the NI Komplete s88MK2 controls
The problem is that in Cubase 12 the tool freezes after a few minutes of operation.
They turn off the screen completely and all the buttons go out, even though the instrument can still be played with the last sound.
In Cubase, the tool disappears in the remote device, but you can continue to work in it. No error message.
In standalone mode, everything is OK, it works without problems.
KK can no longer be revived in Cubase. It must be started in standalone mode and then again in Cubase.
Does anyone have any advice?
Hi there, I would first check the USB cable, UNLESS if in standalone mode you never lose connection.
Are you using the official implementation by NI?
Good day,
I use everything official and legal.
I changed the USB cables several times. Because of this, I bought a new PC set, much faster. I reinstalled the KK software and drivers. finally I downloaded the latest driver from support from 2017. Nothing helped.
If I don’t start KK88 in standalone mode first, it won’t even start the screens properly. Only the KK header remains there and it doesn’t respond to Cubase at all. I have to go to standalone first, then the MIDI screen pops up and I can start Cubase. Everything is already set up in the studio device and I can work for a few minutes.
After a while, the tool seems to fall asleep, the monitors and buttons turn off. Only the octave switching lights up and the instrument cannot be revived.
So back to standalone etc.
I also tried running in Studio One (Presonus), same problem.
I’ve asked support, but they don’t seem to know what to do.
The only thing I can think of is a faulty tool.
Thanks,
I am sending for a claim.
