Hi,
New windows 11 system, fresh C13 install, new kontrol s88 keyboard.
If I turn on the S88 before C13, it crashes the Hub, if I turn it on after start up, at any point, it freezes C13.
I have only BFD/SD3/Pianoteq plugins added and no custom Prefs.
Also, Komple Kontrol app is not running when this happens.
So, I open Cubase, add an Instrument track for Komplete Kontrol, THEN turn on the S88…and it all seems to work for about 5 sec before it freezes. Then after a few seconds C13 goes away completely.
Thanks for that.
OS is fresh, as is NI driver.
Also, I had the" Firmware won’t install" issue that some experience. Took it to the place of purchase and they had a Mac, and it installed just fine.
Got the s88 to work in C13 with only Steiny + Pianoteq. When I added Superior Drummer 3 it failed again. SD3 is also fresh.
Thanks M.C.!
Was unaware of this setting.
The S88 is now, after a couple of Freezes, entering Cubase.
Alas, there is no MIDI Input coming from the S88, as per the input meters.
Thanks, M.C.
Hadn’t restarted the comp in a few tries. Now I’m getting…closer?..somewhat…still seems that the S88 doesn’t want to play nice with Cubase.
OK, could you please attach a screenshot of Studio→Studio Setup→MIDI Port Setup ? And a screenshot of the Routing pane in the inspector tab of one of your tracks in the project window?
I can no longer get the S88, via fail/retry magic, to do anything but freeze cubase, and the NI drivers are not TRS, apparently, so there’s sort of nothing to see. Would you like to see a shot of what is there, sans S88?
Well, the ports of the MK3 are not there at all, I see. For a start, disable Use Device “WinRT MIDI”. I see your Fireface802 having the system name MIDI, and this is not good because I don’t know how Windows names MK3’s ports.
Have tried the Midi both ways…it was Martin Jirsak that mention to use the WinRT setting. Will try it the other way again after supper, and see if I get different results.
