No access to newly-created folder

I open Cubase 9. New Project.
I select one of my Project templates.
Set Project Folder comes up.
I create and name a new folder within my Cubase Work folder.
Error - "The directory you specified is read-only! Please make a new selection.

Start again. The folder I created is there, and I can use it now.

Not a show-stopper. But what’s happening?

Hi,

Do you create the folder in Cubase or in File Explorer while Cubase is open?

Double-check the permission settings of the parrent folder, please.
