NO Activation Found but SDA Told that My Cubase Will Be Automatically Activated?

I’ve purchased a midi keyboard from MIDIPLUS. And I have successfully entered the Download Access Code (DAC) affiliated with the product to download the Steinberg Download Assistant (SDA), eLicenser Control Center and Steinberg Activation Manager. Next I entered the DAC again in the SDA, it told me that you can use “Cubase LE for Tahorng” (Tahorng might be the company who controls MIDIPLUS) , and the Cubase will be activated automatically when it was opened .
QUESTION:

  1. SDA gives me Cubase LE 13 in “My products to download”, but when I opened it, it shows “No valid activation was found”.
  2. When I enter eLicenser Control Center, only a soft-licenser was displayed in the left box, nothing was in the right box. I registered it in MySteinberg but there was no activation code either.
  3. If I need to upgrade to the new Steinberg Licensing, how can I get the updating path? After all, the eLicenser Control Center was downloaded together with SDA itself.

Welcome to the Forum.

You are trying to use Cubase LE 13, which is not using the eLicenser at all. This release is using Steinberg license only, not the eLicenser.

You need to start the Activation Manager (which has been installed together with the Download Assistant) and activate your license there.

I’ve tried but the Activation Manager doesnt have my activation there either…

My MIDIPLUS keyboard also had a code on a piece of paper, but it clearly said “Your Cubase LE 10.5 Access Code”. So that code would be handled by the eLCC.

See here:

What does your paper say? Is it for LE 13?

Thank you, mine is like:

It doesn’t show specific verision like yours, so I just followed the Download Assistant to download a downloadable Cubase LE 13.
BUT I Can’t Activate It…

Go to mysteinberg, log in, and then see if an LE license shows up either in “Show Steinberg Licensing-based products” or “Show e-Licenser based products”)

Yes, only one Cubase LE is displayed in Steinberg Licensing-based products:

And also a Soft-eLicenser which I have registered is there, but no products and no activation code found on this eLicenser.

So you have a Cubase LE license in your account, you don’t need any Activation Code.

What you need to do is to start the Activation Manager on your Computer, login with the same account you are using here in your Profile and activate it.

The soft eLicenser is not used in Cubase LE 13.

Thanks, I started the Activation Manager again but even if I could log in with my account, it showed “Can’t find any license”, after which I tried to press the refreshing button, and it told me to check my internet connection. But I changed the WIFI connection to my data internet and back again, nothing happens…

Hi, to me it looks like you cannot reach one of our services. Do you have any VPN, virus scanner or extra firewall installed? Please make sure that you can reach all the servers listed here under Steinberg Activation Manager: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/360020415859-Servers-and-ports-used-by-Steinberg-applications

OK, I first closed my Microsoft Defender and all the protection methods, and then tried to visit the five hostnames under Steinberg Activation Manager. The result is that I can visit the last three websites easily, but an error in the first website, and cannot load the second website. What should I do next…

Hi, the screenshot you shared shows the correct behaviour for that address.

But I guess you cannot reach the other one. I don’t know what might cause this for you. Please make sure that you have no firewall configuration or any other software that could block certain servers.

Yeah, I’ve already closed all my firewall configuration, it did no help. This is the other one showing:

It made me think that if it’s because I’m in the different country where I can’t visit Steinberg internet unless using VPN. (Just like I can’t visit Youtube also…)

Ah indeed, maybe you need to try with a VPN.
