No Audio from Virtual Drumline

Hello all,

I am using Dorico 5 and wanted to install Virtual Drumline. I bought and installed the application from Tapspace, Score Sauce, and Kontakt 8. I have followed their installation setup guidelines and have had extensive tutelage from Chat GPT as well, but no matter what I do I cannot get the Virtual Drumline audio to play. I have no idea what could be going wrong, but it seems that Dorico is somehow not even registering the patches from VDL. I have attached a screenshot to hopefully help you understand what my problem is. I know in the screen shot cymbals are listed twice, that is another problem I can’t figure out. No matter how many times I reboot or delete the player and reselect Marching Tenor Drums, it always turns to Ride Cymbal 1.

Does anybody know how to help me? Or at least if there is a better forum to reach out to?

Apologies for the stupid question, but have you manually loaded the right patches into the corresponding slots in Kontakt itself? Dorico can’t load the patches for you automatically in Kontakt, so you need to load them manually.

I believe I have, but how would I go about confirming that?

Open up the Kontakt plug-in window via Play mode, and check that you have the right patches loaded into each slot in there.
