No audio signal from interface

Hi All!

Got myself a new computer, upgraded to Cubase 13 from 11. Everything works on both version (older project playback and new projects creation except for audio) I got no signal from interface (Line 6 UR 242) to Cubase. Both studio mic and dynamic mic have been tried on the two different input connections on the interface, all connections verified and cables too..

I checked the microphone permission on my OS, it’s ON

I checked under Studio Set-up, Steinberg built-in Asio driver is the one selected, and in the Control Panel the Line Steinberg UR 242 is selected, the INs and OUts are all active

In Audio Connections Inputs, I created 4 new Mono buses, all on Audio Device Steinberg built-in Asio Driver

and on the Outputs is Stereo Output Steinberg built-in Asio Driver as well

When tried, I created a new Audio track and verified the Routing. I also tried to open up an old project with Vocal track to get back in as is, to no avail…

I had my system set-up to work well for many years and I have upgraded to a stronger computer and switched to Cubase 13 because it was time

I’m not by any means computer savvy, and have read many posts and cannot find a solution.

have you downloaded and installed the latest ASIO diver?

I think your ASIO driver should read something like Yamaha-Steinberg ASIO driver instead of Steinberg built-in ASIO driver which comes with Cubase as far as I know.

Please, try to install the dedicated Yamaha ASIO driver and try again. While you are at it: Please make sure that you have the latest firmware installed on your audiointerface (you’ll find it on the same page above).

I did find it odd that the Yamaha-Steinberg wasnt in the drop down menu options too

YESSSS! I did the update for my audio interface as per advised.

It is now appearing under the Audio System of the Studio setup as Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO And on the Control Panel as Steinberg UR 242
Popped open a project and setup a track for my mic…It works!
